My Lady’s Manor

 

 is a small private neoclassic manor surrounded by a spacious garden.  Built in 1910, it has high ceilings, marble mosaic halls and a wide staircase.  It is surrounded by a lovely garden with

 It is located in the medieval walled city of  Estavayer-le-Lac on Lake Neuchatel in Switzerland. 

 

Our manor is available for short term Vacation Rental, special programs and seminars.

We also receive guests for Bed & Breakfast from Ascension to Pentecost and during the summer months.  A relaxed and friendly atmosphere awaits you and your family.

Our Bed and Breakfast rooms are individually decorated with taste and character. Our large double rooms will easily accommodate a couple and two children. Bathrooms and toilets are located on each floor and are shared. A continental breakfast buffet is served in the dining room from 8:30 to 11:00 every morning.  We will be happy to lend you a charcoal grill if you want to cook in a quiet corner of our garden. A guest kitchen is at your disposal.  Limited parking for cars and bicycles and is available inside the gates.  There is a large free public lot close by.

My Lady's Manor is conveniently located across from the railway station. It is only a few minutes' walk away from Estavayer-le-Lac's picturesque old town. A path and stairway lead down to the yacht harbor.

Price per day and per person with breakfast in a double or single room in Swiss Francs. Children 0 - 12 years old, sharing a room with 2 adults pay half price.  Dogs pay 10 Sfr. per day.

1 night = Sfr. 60 (€ 40)

2 nights or more = Sfr. 50 (€ 35)

+ 1.75 tax per adult per night

My Lady’s Manor is a small private neoclassic manor surrounded by a spacious garden.  Built in 1910, it has high ceilings, marble mosaic halls and a wide staircase.  The garden is shaded by exotic trees include a giant sequoia.  A friendly and relaxed atmosphere awaits you and your family.   In these pleasant surroundings you will enjoy renewing old family ties getting to know new family members.  

My Lady’s Manor is located in Estavayer-le-Lac, a small charming walled city that has survived intact from the Middle Ages.  You will be delighted with its narrow cobblestone streets, 15th century houses, lakeside Cafés and terraces with excellent French cuisine.   Elderly family members and children appreciate the Petit Train for getting about.  Young people will love the sport facilities, and the only water ski tow in Switzerland.   

What can we do and see in the area

Old town with museum, castle, convent, collegial, market and multilingual guides. Nearby: Roman historical sites of Vallon, Orbe, Avenches and Mt. Vully.  Medieval cities of Morat & Gruyere.  Nature centers of Champ-Pittet &  La Sauge and the hot baths at Yverdon-les-bains

Sports :  Sailing, swimming, waterskiing, pedalo, bicycling, hiking, bachi balls, tennis, ping-pong, minigolf, windsurfing, etc.

For kids:  Beach, playground, Papilioroma, pony rides, zoo

Bathrooms :   3 with shower or bathtub. 3 WC’s.  Bathrooms are on each floor.

Cooking :

Guest kitchen on the first floor, 2nd kitchen on the ground floor is available on demand.  There is a small supermarket across the street. An outdoor grill is available. We can also provide a raclette grill and Chinese fondue cooker.

Other solutions for meals:  13 Cafés and Restaurants in town and at the beach, Speedy Pizza delivered.

Mr. Poulet – Mobile van on Wednesdays.  Catering by:  Chez Laurent, Hotel du Port, La Rosière,

Lintanf Traiteur-Charcutier, Sushi Indigo and others.

 

Parking :   4 places inside the grounds, 75 places 50 meters from the house, all unlimited and free.

 

Local transport :    Petit train around town and to the beach, passenger boats connecting the lakes of Neuchatel, Morat & Bienne.  Railroad station nearby. Autoroute entry 2 kilometers. Bicycles for rent, trails everywhere.

 

What will it Cost:  

 

22 August 2009 through 30 June 2010 and 22 August 2010 through 30 June 2011:

  3 nights = 1800 Swiss Francs

  6 nights = 3000 Swiss Francs

Charges for heating will be added during periods that it is required.

(July 1 through August 21, School Holiday, Bed & Breakfast formula.)

 

Terms and conditions:

Minimum rental is 3 days.  Reservations must be made 3 months before arrival with a

deposit of CHF 1000.  Civil Responsibility Insurance is required.

Estavayer-le-Lac

My Lady’s Manor is located in Estavayer-le-Lac, a small charming walled city that has survived intact from the Middle Ages.  Our beautiful castle, convent, museum, and church   will delight you, as well as our 15th century buildings and  narrow cobblestone streets, lakeside cafés and terraces with excellent French cuisine.   Elderly family members and children appreciate the Petit Train for getting about.  Young people will love the sport facilities, and the only water ski tow in Switzerland.  Estavayer-le-Lac is a cultural center with markets, antique fairs, painting contests, children's festivals  and numerous water sports and vacation activities.  For more about Estavayer-le-Lac click here.

 

  How to find us

My Lady's Manor is located about halfway between the cities of Bern and Lausanne.
By motorway from Zurich, continue to Bern and then on to Murten, Avenches and get off at Estavayer-le-Lac. Go toward the Centre Ville and when entering the city gates turn left sharply on a very small street. Follow this short street and turn left at the first opportunity (toward Yverdon or CFF Gare). Go two blocks and turn left in front of a COOP store. You will see our street (Rte St-Pierre) on your left. Turn left on St Pierre and turn into our parking lot, (No. 7) on the right-hand side. If the gates are closed, open them and come in. From Geneva take the autoroute Lausanne/Yverdon and get off at Estavayer-le-Lac.
By Train, check for the best train to either Fribourg or Yverdon-les-Bains. http://www.rail.ch/ is a very helpful website for planning your travel by train. Please do not hesitate to contact us by email for any questions you might have.
